Pre- Apocalypse Prep

Say it fast 3X!

“Somebody told me it was frightening how much topsoil we are losing each year, but I told that story around the campfire and nobody got scared”

Jack Handy

OK, in the first picture you can see a big black blob coming from the main water hose (attempt at using a plastic bag), now, if you follow the rule of the eight P's (prior proper planning positively prevents piss poor performance) then you would have the right equipment for the job. However, in this case, even the second photo, although it looks efficient, was still not conducive to acceptable water transport into the barrel. All of our water hauling apparati were not accessible so we did the best we could. Over the course of 7 hours we managed to top off our 250 gallon water tank on the property, which typically takes only 1 hour.

While Murray was hard at work hauling water, I picked daisies and planted pumpkins...it may sound like a somewhat unequal distribution of labor, but let me tell you, I now have dirt under my fingernails (GROSS!), and contending with the various creepy crawly things that live in the garden wasn't any picnic either!

Just kidding...I helped.
